Internal AYSPS Committees
The four committees of the School that are established in the School Bylaws are the management committee, the academic programs committee, the faculty affairs committee, and the promotion and tenure committee. Each are further described below, updated as of June 21, 2006.
Management Committee
The Management Committee is composed of the Dean, Associate Dean, Chairs and Directors of the School. The purpose of the committee is to advise the Dean on administrative, budgetary, and planning issues. See more at the School Bylaws.

Academic Programs Committee
The Academic Program Committee has jurisdiction over the undergraduate and graduate curricula of the AYSPS, including program policy, curricular modifications, and academic standards. It serves as the planning and research arm of the School with respect to matters pertaining to academic programs. See more at the School Bylaws.

Faculty Affairs Committee
This committee meets not less than once per semester, as written in the School Bylaws. The committee agendas include matters of concern to faculty members and matters on which the Dean desires advice, including proposed administrative policies and procedures and budget issues.

Promotion and Tenure Committee
The P&T Committee sets administrative procedures for the P&T process in the School consistent with the Statutes of GSU. It receives information on candidates and forwards P&T recommendations to the Dean. See more at the School Bylaws.
