Childhood Obesity Panelist Chris Soderquist

Chris Soderquist graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in Mathematical Methods in the Social Sciences and founded Pontifex Consulting in 1998.  Pontifex uses Systems Thinking and developmental facilitation to build the capacity of individuals and organizations to understand and improve systems by developing high-leverage solutions.  Prior to founding Pontifex, Soderquist was employed by High Performance Systems, Inc. (HPS), a company specializing in Systems Thinking tools and techniques, where he worked with Fortune 500 companies, small businesses, government organizations, and non-profits.  Prior to his employment at HPS, Soderquist worked for the U.S. Treasury Department as both a statistician and organizational development facilitator.  Soderquist is a co-author of Systems Thinking: Taking the Next Step, an interactive computer learning environment that teaches the practical application of Systems Thinking to a wide audience.  In partnership with the Georgia Health Policy Center, Soderquist developed a computer model on childhood obesity to evaluate the long-term impact of specific policy changes.
