Moderator: Prof. Inas Rashad is an assistant professor in the Department of Economics in the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University. In addition to her affiliation with the Andrew Young School, Rashad is a Faculty Research Fellow of the National Bureau of Economic Research in the Health Economics Program. Rashad's research is focused on the increase in caloric intake and the decline in levels of physical activity in the United States and in finding causes and solutions for these potential problems. She is also interested in other demand-driven health economics problems such as risky adolescent behavior and drug abuse. Rashad is a faculty affiliate of the Georgia Health Policy Center, the Partnership for Urban Health Research, and the W.J. Usery Workplace Research Group.
