2008 Symposium on Homelessness

You are invited to attend a Symposium on Homelessness.

The Homeless Symposium will be held Monday morning, April 28th, at the Speaker’s Auditorium in the Georgia State Student Center from 8:30am until noon.

8:30 am - Continental Breakfast and Registration

9:00 am -  Welcome and Opening Remarks

9:15 am - Summary of 2007 Tri-Jurisdictional Metro Atlanta Homeless Survey by Jane Massey, Pathways Community Network

9:45 am - Community Dialogue of the Metro Atlanta Homeless Survey

10:15 am - Breakout Sessions on Homeless Issues
The breakout sessions will focus on:
   -Improving Homeless Service Provision
   -Public Policy Implications
   -Homeless Sub-Populations, and History of the Atlanta Homeless Population

11:15 am - Community Discussion of the Breakout Sessions

This event is hosted by Pathways Community Network, with Georgia State University sponsors -- the Department of Sociology in the College of Arts and Science, the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies, and the Center for Neighborhood & Metropolitan Studies; and community sponsor the United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta's Regional Commission on Homelessness.
