ECON 3000: Economics for LifeNot available for credit in the major; may be used as a nonmajor elective depending on degree. Individuals have to make a multitude of economic and financial decisions, such as what type and amount of insurance to purchase, how much to save and how to invest it, whether to rent or own, how much to spend on housing, what kind of mortgage to take out, whether to marry, and how to budget the household's income. This course provides an understanding of the issues surrounding these decisions and presents practical advice on how to make good decisions on these issues.
