ECON 4930: Mathematical EconomicsThis course provides an introduction to mathematical techniques frequently used in economic analysis. Topics include differential and integral calculus, and matrix algebra. Emphasis is placed on the application of mathematics to topics in economic theory, such as profit maximization, utility maximization and output determination. This course is a MUST for anyone planning to pursue graduate work in economics. (3 credit hours) Prerequisites: Econ 2105 and Econ 2106, and Math 2211 or Math 1220.
