ECON 8850: International TradeThis course will cover the basic economic theory of international trade. It will also cover the primary institutional environment, which provides the setting for international economic relations. After developing the basic theory, topics such as trade barriers, common markets, growth and other recent and current international trade issues will be considered as time permits. Some issues that have been discussed in the past are international disputes and World Trade Organization cases on bananas, steel, and roses. (3 credit hours) Prerequisite: Econ 3910 or MBA 8231.
