PAUS 8271: Disaster Policy and Emergency Management

An introduction to the management of technological hazards and disasters. The course examines the political and administrative roles of public and nonprofit sector organizations in local, regional, national, and international emergency management efforts, including the development and implementation of environmental policies. (3 credit hours)
