The eleventh annual Andrew Young School of Policy Studies Honors
Award Ceremony was held on Tuesday, April 17, 2007, at the Georgia State University Student Center Ballroom. Over 280 honorees and their guests attended the event, which was coordinated by the Office of Academic Assistance.
A reception began the evening, offering students, guests and faculty the opportunity to socialize outside of the classroom. Enjoy photos of the reception and event. After being seated, attendees enjoyed a performance by the University
Singers. Dinner followed, and Dean Roy Bahl began the evening's proceedings.
Angelino Viceisza (above right), an economics doctoral student, was the first student speaker. He shared his experiences in the Economics program through anecdotes and quotes. Diane Caves (left), an MPA student in the PAUS department, talked about the value of an MPA degree from the perspective of a government employee who returned to school.
Dean Bahl presented the honors; PAUS Chair Greg Streib congratulated the Public Administration and Urban Studies students; and economics students
received awards from Economics Chair Jim Alm.
