at the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies

AYSPS faculty and research associates edited or co-edited 15 journals, served on advisory boards for 33 journals, and refereed for 167 different journals. They served the profession with membership on numerous advisory and executive boards, and with peer reviewing of programs and faculty. managed Council of Economic Advisors meetings with Governor and staff, participated in Georgia’s Finance Council, and participated in Administration’s tax review committee to examine potential changes to Georgia’s tax structure Bonds.

performed ongoing revenue performance tracking and followed macro- and Georgia-specific economic data and trends, and provided economic data and forecasts to various agencies and administration staff members.

managed preparation of impact estimates for numerous fiscal note requests, including work done with Governor’s policy staff on specific administration policy ideas.

prepared economic conditions summary and compiled relevant data for offering statements for three bond sales, including the state’s first offering with variable rates.

completed four years of service as Treasurer of ABFM on December 31, 2006. As Treasurer, Katherine was instrumental in bringing the 2006 ABFM Conference (~225 attendees) to the Renaissance Marriott Hotel in Atlanta, October 2006. She provided conference planning support, served as the ABFM liaison to the Marriott with Robert Eger, and managed conference registration and logistics with a team of AYSPS graduate research assistants that included Hai (David) Guo, Jungbu Kim, Michael Kray, Spencer Brien and Barbara Williams
