Career Events
Each year the Andrew Young School partners with one of its student organizations or with University Career Services to present students with career fairs/showcases that bring employers together who are interested in pursuing our students to serve as interns, fellows, or as future employees. These events are not only meant to allow students the opportunity to talk to employers about their career paths, but are also great tools to teach students who to network and make a professional presentation about themselves to prospective employers.
These fairs/showcase events are formal events and students should be expected to dress in professional business attire (no t-shirts, jeans, tennis shoes, shorts) and carry professionally prepared resumes. Students are also encouraged, immediately following the event, to send letters of "Thank You" to each employer with whom they visited - to encourage these employers to continue coming to future events and to leave a favorable impression on the student's candidacy.
