Lecture Series
The Dan E. Sweat chair sponsors Education and Community Policy conferences, lectures, symposiums, and workshops along with the Environmental Policy Program, the Urban Regional and Environmental Economic Colloquium, and the Nonprofit Studies Program.
The Dan E Sweat Symposium, “Prospects for Closing the Achievement Gap: Evidence & Issues” was held on April 30, 2010. Speakers included:

The Environmental Policy Program houses the Urban, Regional and Environmental Economics Colloquium (UREEC) lecture series.
The UREEC is a bi-monthly brown bag luncheon workshop which provides a forum for local faculty and graduate students to present research in urban, regional and environmental economics and policy.
The Nonprofit Studies Program hosts a regular Brown Bag Seminar Series on nonprofit issues, open to the community.
Presenters are from AYSPS, other universities, and from nonprofit organizations.
