Economics concentrations certificate

Economics majors are required to take either five or six 4000 level economics courses (depending on which degree they earn - six for BA and BS students; five for BBA students). Economics minors are required to take five economics classes in total, at least three of them at the 3000-4000 level.

Students are encouraged (but not required) to select their upper level economics courses in particular concentrations. Upon request, the economics department will award a certificate of completion for any student who completes the appropriate coursework.* For questions about concentrations, please contact Dr. Shelby Frost, faculty advisor for all Georgia State University undergraduate economics majors.

All concentrations require completion of three courses (generally from a list of four from which to choose) with a C or better grade. Note: Students may receive more than one concentration certificate as they complete their coursework, and non-majors may also receive a concentration certificate.
