The Department of Economics in the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position beginning in August 2008. It is expected that this appointment will be filled at the Assistant Professor level, but we are not solely interested in new Ph.D.s. Applicants should have a primary research interest in urban economics and an interest in teaching at the graduate level. A secondary interest in state and local public finance, urban labor markets, or environmental economics is desirable. Preference will be given to applicants with an emphasis on policy applications in this area. Responsibilities include teaching, research, and involvement in on-going policy activities of the Centers associated with the School. The Department of Economics in the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track Clinical Assistant Professor position, starting in August 2008. This position involves substantial teaching responsibilities in a wide range of mainly undergraduate classes; it also involves significant program-building activities and administrative responsibilities related to the School's rapidly growing undergraduate program. We are particularly interested in applicants who will help build and teach courses in our new major in International Economics and Modern Languages (a joint major with the Modern Languages department). Applicants must have earned a Ph.D. in Economics from an accredited university or be ABD, but nearing completion. Preference will be given to applicants with extensive experience in teaching. This is expected to be an advanced Assistant or early Associate Professor appointment. Applicants should have primary research interest in environmental economics with a specialization in natural resources and secondary research interests in experimental economics and econometrics. Preference will be given to applicants with evidence of superior teaching skills and a strong research record commensurate with a minimum of three years experience beyond Ph.D. study.
