The Georgia-China Future
study committee was formed in 2003 by the State Senate of Georgia. This
study committee is based on a resolution by Senator Sam Zamarripa of Atlanta
(SR225) and was formed to explore the future of business relations between
our state and China.
On October 1, 2003, the Georgia China Future study committee held its
first of three meetings at Georgia State University. Senator Zamarripa
asked the Andrew Young School to host the event. Over three hundred people
attended the first meeting to hear executives from some of Georgia's leading
companies discuss their current business interests in China and make recommendations
on how Georgia can work with the Chinese government and business leaders
in our global economy.
A complete summary of the proceeding can be downloaded in PDF format
here. Meet the panelists
