Dr. Dillon Alleyne will present on Friday, December 9, 2005, at 11 a.m. in the 7th Floor Seminar Room of the Andrew Young School Building.
Dr. Alleyne currently lectures in Public Finance and Econometrics in the Department of Economics, at the University of the West Indies, Mona, Kingston, Jamaica. His published works have been in the areas of tax burden analysis, taxation and labour supply and migrant transfers. He has done work in Fiscal Policy and related issues for the Government of Jamaica, the World Bank, the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) and the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB).
Prior to joining the staff at the Department of Economics, Mona, he was a Research Fellow at the Sir Arthur Lewis Institute of Social and Economic Studies (SALISES) in Mona, Jamaica. Dillon Alleyne, a Guyanese citizen, is married and has 5 boys. Alleyne, while at Georgia State University, worked with Professors Sally Wallace and Roy Bahl on tax policy relevant to tax policy reform in Jamaica.
