Richard B. Freeman"Can We Improve Worker Well-Being in the New Global Economy?"
at the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies

The Andrew Young School of Policy Studies and The Usery Center inaugurated the W.J. Usery Distinguished Lecture Series on Friday, April 8, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. Dr. Richard B. Freeman, Ascherman Chair of Economics at Harvard University, was the inaugural guest speaker. The title of his seminar was "Can We Improve Worker Well-Being in the New Global Economy?"

On April 8th, at 10:30 a.m. there was a "coffee and conversation with Dr. Richard Freeman" in the 5th floor conference room (AYS Building).

Dr. Richard Freeman holds the Ascherman Chair in Economics at Harvard University, and he also serves as Faculty Co-Chair of the University's Trade Union Program. He is Director of the Labor Studies Program at the National Bureau of Economic Research. He is also a Visiting Professor at the London School of Economics and Co-director of the School's Center for Economic Performance. He has published a number of books and over 300 articles on youth labor market problems, higher education, trade unions, transnational economies, high-skilled labor markets, economic discrimination, labor standards and globalization, and income distribution and equity in the marketplace.
