Holly Avey – Senior Research Associate

Holly is the most recent addition to the GHPC Senior Research Associate team, joining the Center in April, 2008. Her research centers on health disparities, social determinants of health, and stress-related illness. She offers expertise in innovative research methods of inquiry, analysis, and representation, such as data collection through participant photography, integration of quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis, and data representation through ethnodrama. Her interests include the intersection of health policy and social policy and the utilization of community based participatory action research. Holly has 15 years of experience in public health program design, implementation, evaluation, and community organizing with hospital, collegiate, and community populations.
