Angie's research involves child health policy analysis, development and evaluation. She has more than a decade of public health experience working for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). In her last assignment as a program analyst for the National Immunization Program, she participated in planning and monitoring national performance measures for childhood immunizations.
She earned a doctorate in health policy from Yale University and received a dissertation grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration for her dissertation which looks at employment outcomes for individuals receiving substance abuse treatment. Her current research focuses on evaluating policy options for increasing health insurance coverage for children and evaluating the quality of care received by children enrolled in Georgia’s PeachCare (SCHIP) program.
