Ceremony Information

The Spring 2017 Andrew Young School Graduation Recognition Ceremony for Masters/Ph.D. students will take place on Friday, May 5, 2017 at 3:30 pm in the Student Center Ballroom.

Student Line-up/Check-in

All Masters/Ph.D. students participating in the ceremony should report Urban Life Building between 1:30 pm and 2:45 pm. Volunteers will be available to issue instructions to the ceremony participants.

Ceremony Schedule

1:30 pm Masters/Ph.D. student check-in begins

1:30 pm Student Center Ballroom doors open for guest seating

2:45 pm Masters/Ph.D. students must be in their designated line up area

dressed in academic regalia

2:45 pm Instructions given to participants on ceremony

2:50 pm Students by degree program begin lining up for the processional

3:30 pm Processional for the ceremony begins

Andrew Young School of Policy Studies Masters/Ph.D. Recognition Ceremony Etiquette

The Andrew Young School of Policy Studies recognizes that the Masters/Ph.D. recognition ceremony is a celebration. It is also important for parents, guests, and participants of the ceremony to acknowledge that it is a formal academic ceremony to be conducted with respect and dignity. We ask that everyone turn off all cell phones during the ceremony, and remain seated for the duration of the ceremony.
