Dr. Sanz-Sanz is a senior lecturer in the Department of Public Finance at Universidad Complutense. From 2000 to October 2004 he was the Deputy Director for Tax Issues in the Ministry of Public Finance at the Spanish Institute for Fiscal Studies. At this Institution he ran the Microsimulation Unit of Tax Reforms.
In 2002 he was appointed to be one of the members of the group of experts to advise the European Commission with respect to tax incentives for I+D and innovation. Dr. Sanz-Sanz was involved in editing a book with Jorge Martinez-Vazquez on the Spanish tax system as well as undertaking his own research with other members of the faculty.
