International Studies Program

Mir Ahmad Khan was a Visiting Research Scholar from Pakistan at the International Studies Program from November 2007 to March 2008. During his stay, he has accomplished research study ”Assessing Enterprise Taxation and Investment Climate in Pakistan” with Dr. James Alm under the Pakistan Tax Policy Review Project sponsored by World Bank.
He received his Master's degree in Economics from University of Peshawar, Pakistan. He has also attended a 6 months training course, ”Modules on Core Official Statistics", Chiba, Japan in United Nations Statistical Institute for Asia and Pacific(UNSIAP) during October 2003 and March 2004 sponsored by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
He is presently serving as Second Secretary in Fiscal Research and Statistics Wing of Federal Board of Revenue, Revenue Division, Ministry of Finance, Pakistan. He has been involved in fiscal research activities. He has also written a number of articles on variety of topics related to taxation and published in various journals.
