U.S. News and World Report ranked the Andrew Young School 5th in Public Budgeting Finance and Budgeting in their 2009 edition of America's Best Graduate Schools. U.S. News ranks graduate academic programs on a yearly basis. Rankings are based on expert opinions about the specific academic programs.
The International Studies Program is a fiscal policy research center that focuses on international topics in public finance and budgeting. The program specializes in the academic research, technical assistance, and training in the areas of fiscal policy, budgeting and fiscal management, intergovernmental fiscal relations (fiscal decentralization), as well as economic and fiscal policy analysis in developing and transitional economies.
