Research Interests

·    Research on the function of Tax Law

·    Study on the reform of Individual Income Tax

·    Study on Local Tax System

Yajun Gao is an associate professor in the School of Public Finance and Taxation of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, China. She obtained her PHD in economics from the same University. She has published more than twenty academic papers and three books. The two books are on the taxation system and laws of China, and published by BBP of United Kingdom. She has participated in projects including two projects related to the national natural science fund and the other projects with the Education Ministry fund.

During her time at the International Studies Program, she will conduct research on the system of personal income tax and the local tax system in the United States, and hopes to do a comparison with the systems in China.
