Participants of this training program are responsible for securing funding for their participation. Participants are typically funded by their government (e.g., Ministry of Finance) or through bilateral or multilateral development agencies. Examples of multilateral development agencies are the United Nations Development Program, the U.S. Agency for International Development, the World Bank, the African Development Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the Inter-American Development Bank.
The most practical approach to locate funding opportunities is by contacting the Mission or Country Office of these development agencies located in your country. The Country Office or Mission should be able to tell you if ongoing projects are able to provide funding for the training course, or they will refer you to the officer who handles such requests for their organization. For your convenience, links are provided below to the directories of country officers for a variety of development agencies. This list will be periodically updated.
You may contact your country's local World Bank office for information whether existing World Bank projects in your country are able to provide funding for the training course. The World Bank web site provides contact information for their country offices.
Select your nation's Country Office from the U.N. Development Program web site for contact information for your country's UNDP mission officer(s). Our training program is typically considered to fall within the UNDP's program area for "Governance" or "Regional Governance."
