
Location
Georgia State University and the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies are located in downtown Atlanta, the heart of the city. Within walking distance from campus are the Georgia State Capitol, Atlanta City Hall, and Underground Atlanta, a shopping and entertainment district. Other nearby places of interest include: Philips Arena, Georgia Dome, Centennial Olympic Park, Turner Field, Georgia Aquarium, World of Coca-Cola, and CNN Center.
In addition, a number of national and international nonprofits make their home in downtown Atlanta, including Habitat for Humanity, CARE, Boys and Girls Club, and American Cancer Society.
