Economics Club
- The Undergraduate Economics Club is a way for students with similar interest to get together and enhance their undergraduate education, as well as learn more about how to obtain and be more successful in their careers and/or graduate school after finishing at Georgia State University. Any currently enrolled student with a GPA of 2.5 or above interested in participating in the organization can join the Economics Club.
- Being a member of the Economics Club means you get an upper hand on internship/job opportunities by having access to our database. Professors, local businesses, and government offices will be submitting opportunities as they become available throughout the year. Access to this database is a valuable tool in order to increase your competitive edge before and/or after you graduate.
Economic Empowerment Initiative
- EEI (Economic Empowerment Initiative) is a non-profit organization that focuses on providing financial literacy training to college students and those from underprivileged communities.
- In 2006, the EEI branched out onto the Georgia State campus and was
established as an official on-campus resource and organization. EEI
at Georgia State is comprised of young student leaders from many
different majors, economic backgrounds, and social/ethnic make-ups,
these individuals are dedicated to better serving the community
through not only financial literacy training but through many other
service opportunities.
- EEI volunteers/members hold at least one financial seminar each month, and often put on presentations for many other respected organizations on campus. Some of the seminars held on campus
include: Surviving on a College Budget, Conquering Credit, Understanding Insurance, How to Buy a Car and many others.
This lecture is free and open to the public.
