Former President Bill Clinton will join Andrew Young in Atlanta on March
9 to lead a discussion of United States foreign policy. The visit by Mr.
Clinton highlights a weekend of activities honoring Mr. Young, who turns
69 years old on March 12.
Hosted by the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State
University, the foreign policy symposium will be held at the Ebenezer
Baptist Church Horizon Sanctuary in Atlanta at 1 p.m. The symposium is
open only to students, faculty, staff and guests of the Andrew Young School.
News media will be allowed only in exterior areas at Ebenezer Baptist
Church. No media availability with the symposium participants will occur.
A gala celebration to benefit the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies,
hosted by Harry Belafonte and Maya Angelou, will be held later that evening.
The following morning (March 10), a street re-naming ceremony will take
place in downtown Atlanta to officially mark Andrew Young International
Boulevard.
