Joint Ph.D. in Public Policy

Doctoral Study and the Joint Ph.D. with the College of Public Policy, Georgia Institute of Technology and the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies.

The joint Ph.D. features a specialization in Public and Nonprofit Management for those interested in teaching research and consulting related to nonprofit organizations. Graduates apply their policy analysis research and program evaluation knowledge in a variety of nonprofit and public organizational settings and universities. Students are admitted to the doctoral program by a joint committee of faculty from Georgia State University and Georgia Tech, and take a required core of classes at both institutions. Students in the Economics Department Ph.D. program of the AYSPS or other Ph.D. programs can also take the NSP’s nonprofit doctoral seminar and conduct their dissertations on nonprofit-related topics.
