Fellowships
Legislative Budget Fellowship (MPA or MPP)
The Department of Public Management and Policy (PMAP) is pleased to announce a Legislative Budget Fellowship in partnership with the Georgia Senate Budget & Evaluation Office (SBEO).
The Legislative Budget Fellowship will combine a paid internship opportunity with a graduate assistantship through PMAP. Students will receive $13 per hour for their work with SBEO and are expected to work 20 hours a week. Students should understand that work during the legislative session (typically Jan-March) may be more demanding. Responsibilities are described below. The fellowship with SBEO will also fulfill the 3 credit hour MPA internship requirement and can also be applied towards an additional 3 credit hour MPA elective.
Students will receive a graduate assistantship through PMAP, which includes a tuition waiver and a $2000 stipend per semester for two academic years. Students will be assigned to a PMAP budget and finance faculty member and will be asked to assist with selected projects. Work for the department will be flexible to accommodate the student’s schedule with SBEO.
