- Biography
Colleen Smith is a research associate II at the Georgia Health Policy Center. Smith’s areas of expertise are in monitoring and evaluation design and implementation; qualitative and quantitative data collection, analysis, and dissemination; program design and quality improvement; and research design and implementation. Her portfolio of work focusses on maternal and child health, substance use, mental health, and co-occurring disorders. She has professional experience throughout the Americas and Africa.
Smith’s current projects include managing the state-wide evaluation of Georgia’s Recovery Support Clubhouses for youth and young adults with substance use challenges and supporting the evaluation efforts of The Carter Center’s Public Health Training Initiative in Sudan and Nigeria. She also serves as a technical assistance provider to state and territorial teams through the National Maternal and Child Health Workforce Development Center where she sits on the Evidence Based Decision Making core.
Smith has presented her work at a number of national conferences including those hosted by the American Evaluation Association; Annual Research and Policy Conference for Child, Adolescent and Young Adult Behavioral Health; and National Network of Public Health Institutes.
