Karl Jennings, Director of Development, joined the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies in 2016. As a member of the School’s Leadership Team, he oversees the fundraising activities to secure private support in order to advance the Andrew Young School’s mission and also works to strengthen engagement with alumni.
His prior roles included Director of Development, Central Programs at GSU as well as Development Officer at United Way of Greater Atlanta where he worked with C-suite level volunteers to raise over $6.8 million in corporate and individual support. Jennings’ serves on several boards including United Way’s Young Professional Leaders, and the University of Tennessee-Atlanta Alumni Association. In his previous life, Jennings ran track and field professionally for Canada, where he was the 4x Canadian national champion in the 110 meter hurdles. Jennings believes the key to happiness is to follow your dreams and provide service to others.
Jennings is a Volunteer, graduating with a BA in Psychology and an MS in Higher Education Administration from the University of Tennessee. There he also was a two-time All American in track and field and was a scoring member of several SEC and NCAA championship titles for the team.
