Biography

Sally Wallace will serve as interim dean of the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies for the 2017-18 academic year. Dr. Wallace has been a faculty member in the Economics Department since 1991, including five years as department chair. In addition to her teaching and research duties, she has been associate dean for research and strategic initiatives since 2015 and director of the Fiscal Research Center since 2011. Prior to her academic career, she was a financial economist with the Office of Tax Analysis at the United States Treasury Department.

Dr. Wallace earned her undergraduate degree at William Smith College and earned her Ph.D. in economics at Syracuse University. Her research interests include income taxation, sales taxation, tax burden analysis and distributional effects of taxation.
