Sue Carter Collins

Biography

Collins’ research interests include legal issues in law enforcement, sexual harassment, police sexual misconduct, race and gender issues, criminal justice policy, and criminal justice education. An active member of the Florida Bar since 1984, Collins is an experienced attorney who has held numerous professional positions as a practicing attorney and criminal justice practitioner. She also has provided law enforcement training and served as a consultant for various agencies. Her current research focuses on sexual harassment in policing, the constitutionalization of criminal procedure, and women in policing. Collins serves as the Criminal Justice Internship Coordinator and is responsible for developing and maintaining partnerships with criminal justice agencies and for securing student placements. She also is the faculty advisor for the undergraduate Criminal Justice Student Association.
