Susan McLaren joined the Georgia Health Policy Center as a research associate II in January 2012. Previously, she worked as a Senior Research Associate in the Center for Health Services Research at the J. Mack Robinson College of Business, as a consultant to hospital systems at Cross Country with Gill Balsano Consulting, and as an independent consultant working on numerous health services research and evaluation projects including many with the GHPC for the last several years. At the GHPC, Susan is working on evaluation projects related to Medicaid, Georgia’s Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), and health care coordination. She will also continue her work with Georgia State University’s Health-Law Partnership (HeLP). Susan attended Emory University for her Master of Public Health and Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Biology.
