Tamanna Patel joined the Georgia Health Policy Center in 2009. Before joining the GHPC, she worked in Louisiana on tobacco control and prevention programs, specifically a youth empowerment program and a perinatal provider training program. Tamanna links resources, information, and expertise essential for programs to bring health services to underserved populations. In addition, she has gained experience in adolescent health, reproductive health, and maternal and child health in Atlanta, New York City, and Louisiana. She is part of the center’s Community Health Systems Development Team. Tamanna holds a Master of Public Health in Maternal and Child Health from Tulane University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Education in Health Promotion and Behavior from the University of Georgia.
