International Studies Program
The
International Studies
Program conducts training programs, workshops, and study tours for
public officials in the areas of fiscal policy, fiscal management, intergovernmental
fiscal relations and policy analysis. Each summer the ISP presents a variety
of public policy training courses as part of its Summer Training Program,
specifically designed for government officials from developing and transition
countries. In additional, the ISP develops and implements training programs
that address specific policy issues in individual countries. Photo: Students from the ISP Indonesian Training Program.
Program for Rehabilitation
Leadership
The Andrew Young School of Policy Studies is also home to the Program
for Rehabilitation Leadership (PRL). The PRL houses two Regional Rehabilitation
Continuing Education Programs (RRCEPs), serving the learning needs of
community rehabilitation programs and leaders and managers in state government
rehabilitation programs in the eight states of the southeast. The programs
provide on-site training, education, technical assistance, and organizational
development services to a wide array of rehabilitation professionals and
organizations. Funded through the U.S. Department of Education, the programs
are two of twenty-one such programs operating nationally. The programs
produce hundreds of workshops, seminars, and other learning opportunities
each year and conduct an annual on-campus Institute for New Rehabilitation
Leaders. In addition, the staff is invited to lecture at a wide variety
of rehabilitation conferences and has published in a variety of rehabilitation
and public administration publications.
