To be authorized to enroll in a hybrid section of ECON 2106: Principles of Microeconomics, you must complete a short assessment that evaluates your readiness to learn through an online course. A hybrid course combines online instruction delivered via iCollege and in-person activities during a weekly lab for 75 minutes each week in the Fall/Spring semesters and 150 minutes in the summer semester. All exams will be administered during the face-to-face meeting time in the lab.
Online learning requires good time management, a computer in a place that’s free of distractions, and knowledge of your learning styles. This assessment will produce a report for you that indicates your strengths and weaknesses in these areas.
Some of the questions are directed to adults who are working, but please answer them in a way that seems the closest to your situation.
After you complete the assessment, you’ll receive an email with a subject of “ECON 2106: Authorization.” This email will arrive within five days of completing the assessment. It will contain instructions for next steps to enroll in the course. For Summer 2020, Assessments must be submitted by 11:59 pm on June 4, 2020.
