Make Europe your classroom for Maymester 2018! We visit France, Germany, the Czech Republic & Great Britain to learn about the European Union and its governing institutions and policy innovations. We examine the economies of these countries, quality of life, immigration issues, and social progress. Our visits include government institutions, typically the EU, British, and German parliaments and the UN Human Rights Council; companies such as Deutsche Bahn; and historical and cultural sites that include Westminster Abbey, Brandenburg Gate, and Prague Castle. The itinerary includes some of the most dynamic areas of Europe that draw young people, create new ideas and develop new technologies, and that tackle age-old social problems in creative new ways—east vs. west and historical vs. modern.
