Graduate Research Assistantship Information
Graduate applicants apply for Graduate Research Assistantships (GRAs) at the same time they apply for admission. It is also possible for continuing students to apply for a GRA in a subsequent semester. To be hired as a GRA, you must be full-time (enrolled for at least 12 credit hours during fall and spring semesters).
PROCEDURES:
Current Economics Department Masters Students:
- Available GA opportunities are emailed out to accepted and enrolled MA students.
- In response to opportunities students will submit a resume and other information for consideration per email instructions.
- Students will be notified when they are awarded a position.
Current Public Management and Policy (PMAP) Masters Students:
- Fill out the PMAP GRA Application Form.
- An automated confirmation will be sent to you, but you will be notified only if a position becomes available.
Masters Program Applicants:
- Answer “Yes” to the GRA question located on the Online Admissions Application and submit a completed application by the deadline*:
• February 15 is the Fall Semester priority deadline for those requesting a GRA.
• October 1 is the Spring Semester deadline. - Applicants will be notified of GRA awards by the department as soon as possible after the admission decision is made.
*All application materials must be received by the deadline for GRA consideration.
Doctoral Program Applicants:
- Answer “Yes” to the GRA question located on the Online Admissions Application and submit a completed application by the deadline*.
