Choudhury, Subhrajit
Subhrajit is a second-year PhD student at the Department of Public Management and Policy at the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University. He currently works under Dr. Jonathan Oxley as a Graduate Research Assistant.
Subhrajit’s primary research interests include behavioral public policy, public administration, public management and policy processes. Subhrajit intends to focus on the choice architecture of actors involved in policy processes and design through the prism of policy evaluation.
Before joining the PhD program, Subhrajit was a career civil servant in the services of the Government of West Bengal, India. From 2019 to 2023, Subhrajit was an Assistant Director in the Food & Supplies Department of the Government of West Bengal. Subhrajit’s responsibilities included the implementation of a Targeted Public Distribution System and paddy procurement in the district of Murshidabad, West Bengal. Subhrajit was the deputy chief of a special team that was mandated to pioneer the IT-enabled business process of reengineering the whole supply chain of the department.
