Chaowang Ren is a second-year Ph.D. student in Public Policy. His research primarily focuses on government fiscal health, with a particular interest in understanding how aging populations influence local government revenue structures and overall fiscal sustainability. Additionally, he explores the application of machine learning methods in assessing and predicting fiscal health, aiming to enhance traditional public finance analyses with data-driven approaches. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering from Dalian Maritime University, a master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of North Texas, and a master’s degree in Public Policy from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
