Andrey Timofeev

Andrey Timofeev is a research associate professor with the Public Finance Research Cluster and the Department of Economics at the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies. He has worked on public-sector reforms in over a dozen countries since he was first recruited by Georgia State University in 1999 for the USAID Fiscal Reform Project in the Russian Federation. Over the last twenty years, he has engaged with numerous technical assistance and capacity-building projects on budgeting, fiscal decentralization, and tax policy. He has managed and delivered training in various capacity-building programs, including the Andrew Young School’s Public Policy Summer Training Courses and country-specific training courses.
