Avani Raval

Avani Raval is the College Administrative Officer for the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University.  As College Administrative Officer, Raval manages and directs the day to day operations for the Andrew Young School, one of the ten colleges at Georgia State.  Under his purview are the areas of Human Resources, Facilities, Safety/Security, Technology, Public Relations, College Events, and Governance.  Raval has been with Georgia State University’s Andrew Young School of Policy Studies in varying capacities since joining the university in 1997.  During his time at the Andrew Young School, he has seen the college be named for Andrew Young; grow from two academic departments and four research centers, to five academic units and eleven research centers; and triple in size of employees.  He has managed consolidating the college under one roof 14 years ago, and is again tasked with consolidating the college in its new home at 55 Park Place.  Combining the college in its new home, will improving the collaborative and entrepreneurial nature of its staff, faculty, and students.
