Brian Mitchell

Brian Mitchell is the Assistant Director for Employer Relations in the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies Career Service and Alumni Relations office. In his current role, Brian focuses on relationship development and management with employers in government, private and nonprofit industries.

Brian worked at his alma mater North Carolina Central University (NCCU) prior to coming to GSU Andrew Young School of Policy Studies. At North Carolina Central University, he served as a Career Counselor. While at NCCU, Brian led the charge to create a student-athlete career development program.

Before joining higher education, Brian worked in various roles within the career and workforce development field including running an award winning “at-risk” youth program.

He has his Master of Arts in Counseling with a concentration in Career Counseling and Placement.
