- Biography
Brigitte Manteuffel is as a senior research associate at the Georgia Health Policy Center where she leads efforts to address the opioid epidemic through policy, practice, and research. Her interests focus on improving the infrastructure for addressing the opioid epidemic, as well as the evidence-based prevention and treatment of behavioral health disorders. She brings expertise in research, evaluation, and behavioral health.
Manteuffel is an expert in mixed-methods evaluation of children’s mental health systems of care (including mental health, child welfare, juvenile justice, education, and primary care) and has special expertise in youth substance use and substance use disorder treatment. She contributes to local and national groups working to improve access and quality of care for behavioral health, and to reverse the opioid epidemic.
Manteuffel’s published research appears in a variety of journals including Administration and Policy in Mental Health and Mental Health Services Research, AIDS Care, American Journal of Community Psychology, Child Abuse and Neglect, Focal Point, Journal of Adolescence, Journal of American College Health, Journal of Behavioral Health Services & Research, Journal of Emotional and Behavioral Disorders, and Journal of Health Communication.
