Janaia SM Lester, College Human Resources (HR) Officer, is responsible for everything HR-related in the Andrew Young School (AYSPS).  She began working for the school in 2013.

Janaia manages such things for the school as faculty and staff hiring, employee relations, position classifications, and payroll functions and is assisted by the College HR Coordinator, who handles HR functions for temps, students, and graduate assistants.

Before joining the Andrew Young School, Janaia held positions in the banking and credit union industry retail and even served in HR roles for the Georgia State University Library and the Michigan Department of Corrections.

Janaia holds a B.A. in Human Resources and Society from Michigan State University, a M.S.A. in Human Resources Administration from Central Michigan University, and a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification.
