As assistant director, Castelli plans events for the institute, engages with faculty and staff on research priorities, and collaborates on new academic programs for students.
Responsible for the administration of the institute, she manages the implementation of the strategic plan.
Prior to joining the institute, Viilo worked in the Dean’s Office for the College of Arts and Sciences at GSU and at The Carter Center, here in Atlanta.
A native New Yorker, Viilo earned her M.A. degree in international peace and conflict resolution from American University in Washington, DC.
