- Biography
Lauren Hoehn-Velasco is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics. Her research interests include health and public economics. She has several areas of focus, including the long-term effects of historical programs, the household-level effects of divorce laws, and works in progress related to intimate partner violence and maternity care. Her work has been published in leading economics journals such as The Economic Journal and the Journal of Human Resources. Dr. Hoehn-Velasco earned her Ph.D. and M.A. in economics from Boston College in 2018 and her B.S. in mathematics and economics from Michigan State University.
