- Biography
Marion L. Chapman is a senior research associate at the Center of Excellence for Children’s Behavioral Health within the Georgia Health Policy Center. Her areas of expertise include Recovery-oriented Cognitive Therapy (CT-R), serious and persistent mental illness, community mental health, and college counseling. She also is licensed as a professional counselor.
As a member of the CT-R training team, Chapman is focused on training providers across the state of Georgia in CT-R as clinical coordination for a Georgia Youth at Risk for Psychosis grantfrom the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. She facilitates intensive workshops and provides ongoing consultation on the CT-R model to mental health providers. Chapman aims to train providers, who work with individuals that have serious and persistent mental illness, to prevent and overcome roadblocks to recovery as well as assist individuals to sustain integration in the community.
